About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join the supportive team at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Orange, NSW. The Administration Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school by providing administrative, clerical, and financial support.
We are seeking an Administration Assistant who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:
Uphold the values and mission of Catholic education within the school community.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure the Principal is kept informed of relevant administrative matters.
Support financial processes, including managing invoices, payments, and budgets.
Oversee student attendance records and manage communication with parents regarding absences.
Assist with enrolments, correspondence, and general office administration.
Coordinate school communications, including newsletters and updates on Compass.
Provide front-office support, welcoming visitors and answering enquiries.
Administer basic first aid and liaise with parents regarding student medical needs.
Assist with WHS compliance, reporting hazards, and ensuring workplace safety.

About You
We are looking for someone who can address the following selection criteria:
Demonstrate professionalism, commitment, and strong organisational skills.
Strong administrative and clerical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and professional interactions with staff, students, and parents.
Proficiency in using office management software, including Microsoft Office and school administration systems (e.g., Compass, TECH1).
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks while also being an effective team member.
A high level of discretion and confidentiality, maintaining professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Sound computer skills, including data entry, record-keeping, and digital communication.
A positive attitude and commitment to working in a collaborative team environment.
