About the Role

La Salle Academy has an exciting opportunity for a motivated secondary teacher to become a valuable addition to our remarkable team as the new Leader of Teaching & Learning.

The Leader of Teaching and Learning will model, promote and facilitate contemporary learning principles, including the seamless integration of technology, into the learning cycle. The position includes coordinating academic compliance, leading curriculum reform, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning. Responsibilities extend to supporting staff development, leading teacher appraisal processes, and enhancing staff-student relationships.

Additionally, the role involves engaging with parents, coordinating key school events, and collaborating with the leadership team to evaluate programs, curriculum offerings, and strategic planning.

About You

We are seeking someone able to align with the following selection criteria:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW
  • An understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church
  • Exemplary classroom practise, using a range of effective contemporary pedagogies
  • Experience leading development of programming, and continuous improvement with a team
  • Highly effective leadership, collaboration, communication, organisation and time management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary trends in education within Australia with demonstrated success implementing significant educational change initiatives, adapting to the evolving needs of our students
  • Minimum of five years of school experience, contributing to our students' growth and development
