About the Role

The Instructional Leader of Curriculum is a key member of the School Executive Team, reporting to the Principal through the Assistant Principal: Teaching & Learning. With curriculum leadership and professional learning and mentoring being the two major areas of responsibility, the role will consist of the following responsibilities: 

  • Mentoring teachers to support quality teaching and classroom practice 
  • Ensuring curriculum compliance and development 
  • Coordinating Professional Learning Community (PLC) initiatives 
  • Creation of intervention programs 
  • ASIP Teaching & Learning priorities

About You 

We are looking for someone who can address the following selection criteria:

  • NESA accreditation 
  • A commitment to Catholic education, displaying a strong understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools 
  • Ability to lead the KLA Team and to dynamically support curriculum delivery, development and compliance 
  • Ability to work with the Executive Leadership Team and, in particular, the Assistant Principal: Teaching and Learning, to support the realisation of the school’s strategic direction
  • Demonstrated commitment to Professional Learning and confidence in implementing and driving PL initiatives at a whole school level 
  • Highly developed understanding of Contemporary Learning pedagogy, and experience in supporting and mentoring teaching staff within an educational context
