About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Canteen Supervisor to become a valuable addition to our remarkable team at St Philomena's Catholic Primary School, Bathurst NSW. The Canteen Supervisor is a member of the School Support team. The role provides support and assistance in the Canteen and is responsible to the Office Manager and Principal.

We are seeking a Canteen Supervisor who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:

  • Following hygiene procedures- including, but not limited to, regular hand washing, wearing gloves and cleaning processes
  • Food preparation for service, including lunch orders
  • Food preparation for catering events within the community
  • Washing, cleaning and preparing surfaces and resources to safely handle food and food preparation items
  • Customer service and money handling including EFT
  • Refill and restock supplies for sale, as well as, cleaning products and service materials
  • Empty bins and rubbish stations as required
  • Possess well developed verbal and written communication skills 
  • Receival of stock, checking products regularly for use by and engaging in regular stocktakes

About You (Selection criteria)
The Canteen Supervisor will align with the following selection criteria:

  • Statement of Attainment in Food Safety Supervision (essential)
  • Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check
  • Previous experience in a food handling/preparation setting
  • Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Experience in ordering/catering
  • Experience with the Healthy Canteen Guideline
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to work independently
  • Previous experience in a similar role
