About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher to become a valuable addition to our remarkable team at St Johns College in Dubbo NSW. The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the Science curriculum while creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment for their students.

We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:

  • Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.

  • Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.

  • Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.

  • Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement.

  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.

  • Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contribute to school life.

  • Providing student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities

About You (selection criteria)
We are looking for someone who can meet following selection criteria:

  • Experience in teaching Science across various year levels.

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW

  • Ability to teach Science across Stages 4-6

  • Strong classroom management skills, creating a positive learning environment

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Experience using technology to inform, track, and report student learning

  • Deliver outstanding educational services by tailoring your lessons creatively to meet each student's needs.

  • Design programmes and strategies to address the educational needs of our students.

  • Expertise in managing student behaviour in a way that supports learning

  • Commitment to the development of a self-improving school culture

  • Understanding and commitment to the ideals of Catholic education

  • Passion for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to diverse learners
