Permanent | Part-time (46 hours per fortnight)

Hourly rate ranging from $36.12 - $39.45 depending on qualification & experience

About the Role 

St Matthew's Catholic School (Secondary Campus) is currently seeking a Clerical Assistant - Student Services to support the administration function and provide front-line support to students, staff, and families through the efficient operation of the Student Services Office.This position is responsible for for a variety of administrative, hospitality, and first aid duties that contribute to the operational efficiency of the school. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Provide a professional, warm, and welcoming presence at the Student Services counter.

• Support students, parents, and staff with enquiries in a courteous and timely manner.

• Manage student attendance records and reports using the school management system (Compass).

• Administer first aid and student medications; maintain Sick Bay records and supplies.

• Update and maintain student and family information on Compass.

• Prepare and maintain first aid kits for excursions and playground duties.

• Process and distribute correspondence, bus forms, and student documentation.

• Provide backup support to the school Receptionist as needed.

• Contribute to a positive, efficient, and confidential office environment.

About You 

• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and families. 
• Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills, with attention to detail. 
• Capacity to work collaboratively. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of work. 
• An understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic Education. 
• Must have First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
• Certificate IV or higher in Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
