About the Role
St Edward's Catholic Primary School, Canowindra is seeking a dedicated Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join the team, commencing Term 1, 2026. Supporting the school by ensuring the grounds, sporting fields, gardens, building, and amenities are maintained to the highest standard, this position is crucial to St Edward's operations team.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintain and present school grounds, gardens, ovals, and sporting facilities to a high standard.
Prepare and set up sporting areas for events and carnivals.
Safely operate and maintain tools, machinery, and apply garden treatments.
Assist with general building, furniture, and equipment maintenance as directed.
Support classroom and facility preparation at the start of each term.
Ensure external areas, gutters, and drains are clean and well maintained.
Follow all WHS policies, report hazards, and promote a safe working environment.
Carry out other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the school.
