Payroll Services Officer 
Immediate start by negotiation at our office in Bathurst

 Permanent Part time $38 - $40 per hour

36 hours per fortnight  (flexible start and finish times)

Attractive salary negotiable depending on experience

About the Role
The key focus of this role is to deliver payroll services across Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst. The Payroll Services Officer ensures Payroll processes run smoothly and are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have:

• Previous payroll experience and knowledge in a high-volume environment, in a medium to large organisation
• Sound understanding of payroll compliance
• Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply Modern Award, Enterprise Agreement and legislation provisions as they relate to payroll processing
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues
• Sound systems and computer software skills i.e. Word, Excel, payroll systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• A knowledge of HR practices would be an advantage
• A willingness to support the Catholic tradition and ethos in the workplace
