Canteen Supervisor | St Mary's Catholic School, Wellington 

Permanent | Part-time (37 hours per fortnight)

About the Role 

St Mary's Catholic School, Wellington is seeking a passionate Canteen Supervisor committed to delivering friendly service, and creating a welcoming environment for students are staff. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and serve food items following established recipes and menus.
  • Provide efficient counter service to students, staff, and visitors. 
  • Store and handle all food safely in line with CEDB guidelines.
  • Set up and maintain the canteen environment for daily service.
  • Manage online transactions and handle payments.
  • Order, receive, and check stock and supplies.
  • Record and reconcile daily takings in accordance with school procedures.
  • Help train and supervise volunteers in the canteen.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, positive environment for all.

About You 

We are looking for someone who can address the following criteria: 

  • Experience in food handling, hospitality, or a similar environment is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current food handling and hygiene certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of a Catholic school environment.
