About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent Administration Assistant to join the Administration team on a team part time basis at at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Portland.
Reporting directly to the Principal, the Administration Assistant performs a wide range of duties that assist with the overall administration of the school. These duties may consist of (but not limited to):
Financial duties: Maintenance of school accounts, administering and monitoring school fees payments, collecting and recording payments
Reports and Returns: Preparing and generating financial reports, end of year rollover, preparation of statistical return, processing and recording information regarding concessions and overdue debts, grants payments/ reconciliation
General duties: compiling and distributing the school newsletter, handling school enquiries (via in-person, phone and emails), fleet management, general administrative duties, student attendance management, administer basic first aid
WHS: Adhering to all WHS policies and procedures

About You
The new Administration Assistant will be aligned with the following selection criteria:
Possess well developed verbal and written communication skills
Possess sound computer skills
Positive attitude and effectiveness working in a team environment
Able to work independently
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
A capacity to work collegially and collaborate within a diverse team
Excellent communication and organizational skills, punctuality and adaptability
Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
