About the Role 

St Mary's Catholic School, Wellington is seeking a dedicated MLit and QSmart Learning Support Officer to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to supporting students in their learning journey and has experience with targeted literacy and numeracy programs. Key responsibilities include: 

• Support the delivery of structured learning programs to targeted students.
• Collaborate with the Learning Support Teacher to prepare and adapt program materials.
• Work in small group or individual settings to provide effective intervention.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the dignity of every student.

About You 

We are looking for someone who can address the following criteria: 

• Holds a Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent (desired) 
• A valid Working with Children Check 
• Experience working with children, ideally in an educational environment
• Knowledge of and experience with the MLit and QSmart programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An understanding of child protection principles and the Disability Standards for Education
