Student with Disabilities Learning Support Officer | St Mary's Catholic School, Wellington 

Temporary | Part-time (60 hours per fortnight)

About the Role 

As a Student with Disabilities Learning Support Officer, you will work under the guidance of the Learning Support Teacher to deliver targeted educational support to students in classroom settings. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Support the delivery of tailored learning programs to students with disabilities. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning Support Teacher and classroom staff.
  • Assist in preparing materials and resources for student learning.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold student dignity at all times.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

About You 

We are looking for someone who can address the following criteria: 

  • Holds a Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent 
  • A valid Working with Children Check 
  • Understanding of Child Protection principles and relevant policies
  • Familiarity with the Disability Standards of Education
  • Commitment to the mission and ethos of Catholic education 
  • Availability for occasional out-of-hours professional development or other school-related activities
