About the Role
Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) is currently recruiting for an Education Officer: Mathematics to join the Learning, Teaching and Wellbeing Team, commencing Term 1 2026. This role supports schools as they develop as Professional Learning Communities, enhancing the quality of learning and teaching across our system of schools.
Key responsibilities:
Promote the Mission of Catholic Education – model Christ’s teachings, uphold the dignity of all, and strengthen schools as communities of faith and learning.
Support Quality Learning and Teaching – develop educational leadership, implement contemporary curriculum, and lead professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
Drive Improvement in Mathematics and Numeracy – lead the Diocesan Learning Hub and build teacher capacity to embed numeracy across all KLAs.
Facilitate Teacher Professional Development – design and deliver evidence-based learning, promote inquiry and action research, and support innovative classroom practice.
Foster Collaboration and Partnerships – work with principals, teachers, system leaders, and external partners to strengthen teaching and learning across schools.
Undertake Additional Duties – support system priorities and travel within the Diocese as required.
