About the Role 

Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst is seeking a committed and service-oriented Service Desk Officer to join the team in Bathurst on a full-time temporary basis. This position plays a vital role in supporting school and office-based technology systems across the diocese. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Provide first-line technical support and triage service desk tickets.
  • Deliver both remote and onsite ICT support across school and office environments.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with users regarding issue resolution and timelines.
  • Support staff and students in using approved ICT services to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Promote a self-service culture by empowering users through training and support.
  • Participate in ICT projects, meetings, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with equipment procurement, budgeting, and audiovisual support as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety policies and report any hazards.

About You 

  • A strong alignment with the Vision and Mission of Catholic education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proven experience in ICT support, ideally within education or a similar setting.
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms and ticket management processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and sites.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in ICT service delivery.
  • Willingness to travel across sites as required.
